Hi everyone! If you exclusively follow me here on my website, the past six months of total silence have probably been a bit disconcerting when it comes to my writing progress. However, I return to you today with a bevy of good news! Firstly, and perhaps most excitingly, I have a new book available for preorder on Amazon RIGHT NOW, and you can find it by clicking RIGHT HERE!
“Worlds Fair: Where Discerning Gods Come to Shop” is my first true foray into light novels. You may or may not have seen my announcement near-exactly one year ago about both the inception and completion of said project, so I’ll give you all a quick summary: After publishing Restart Again: Volume 5, I took a month-long vacation from writing, and when I returned refreshed and reinvigorated in my craft, I channeled that energy into a writing exercise/side project that eventually became Worlds Fair. This was written for the JNC Original Light Novel contest, and after I was eliminated from the running at the first hurdle (oof), I decided to spend the necessary time and effort to turn this project into a legitimate self-published work. Now, a year after the first draft was completed, it’s ready to go live!
Now, some of you may be asking, “but what is Worlds Fair?” To you, my inquisitive followers, I offer the following blurb from the back of the book:
“Welcome to the Eternal Springs Shopping Emporium Worlds Fair: Where Discerning Gods Come to Shop!
Join the godly World Artisan team as they recount stories of their time creating and selling the worlds that their fellow immortals love to rule. With equal parts slice-of-life comedy and epic fantasy adventure, the Worlds Fair has something to offer for everyone! Mass-produced isekai slop? Sensual and erotic harem stories? Fantasy adventures with Heroes and Demon Lords? A world so powerful that it threatens the Realm of the Gods itself?
You can find all that and more, right here at the Worlds Fair!”
Intrigued? Hop on over to the Amazon page and check it out for yourself! The novel is included in the Kindle Unlimited program, if that’s your sort of thing, ebook copies are currently available for preorder, and paperbacks should be available to purchase on release day, September 12th!
With all of that being said, Worlds Fair hasn’t been the only project consuming my time. Far from it, in fact! Although I’ve had little to say here on my personal blog, my work on Restart Again has been moving right along over the course of this year. As of the time of this blog going live, I currently have 14 chapters completed for Volume 6 (and posted for my Patrons to read), which amounts to just under 100,000 words. We’ve blown past the word count of Volume 1 without breaking a sweat, and there’s plenty more ground to cover. I recently finished my rough outline of what’s left to write, and it looks like I have somewhere around 15 chapters left to write, and that’s assuming none of them balloon up and become two chapters, as is my traditional style. If you’ve been following me here for long, you’re probably accustomed to my writing pace at this point, but I’ll ask once again for your patience and forgiveness. I’m doing my best to make Restart Again the best series it can be, and I hope you’ll enjoy it when it’s ready, whenever that may end up being!
However, for the meantime, I’m celebrating the success of a brand new novel being published, and I hope you’ll join me in that! I’ll leave you with one final thing: The fantastic cover artwork for Worlds Fair, illustrated by @HepariArt on Twitter! There are an additional 8 (yes, EIGHT) character portraits within the pages of the novel, and they’re also hosted right here on my website in the art gallery. I hope you’ll go give Hepari some love, and I hope you enjoy Worlds Fair! Until next time, stay safe out there, and as always, thanks for reading!
~Adam
